The story board for Abby and Teddy, was originally longer, starting with Abby entering the room and looking for teddy, giving up and getting into bed before this part of the story. It is only meant to be 1 minute long in total and we only needed to animate 1 character so this is the result. Now I need to model, rig and animate Teddy, I have mostly done Abby to date.
I decided to base my character’s face on this model from America’s top model all stars, her huge pale blue eyes, small nose and small red mouth, blonde hair and pale skin. I then decided to make her a little girl so I am basing her head shape and maybe hair on my little niece called Abby. I drew a Teddy from my imagination but got photos of a real 1 to see the way the limbs move and bend because it is different to a live being

Here are my final drawings for my characters. Abby will have pyjamas on rather than a dress for easier animating.
It is Victorian England and doctors are administering pelvic massage on women to treat ‘hysteria’. The Jolly Molly, an electric feather duster is invented by the doctor’s friend. It is discovered that, slightly altered, it is an efficient way to administer the massage giving the doctor’s hand and wrist a rest to relieve his RSI.
This shot relates to the whole film. It shows Molly the maid holding the machine that was named after her because it was first tried out on her.
COMPOSITION AND FRAMING OF THIS SHOT
Rule of thirds– she is standing at a third line, her face and the machine in her hand are in sweet spots. At the top the dark curtain is drawn 2/3rds of the way across with the sheer curtains letting light through on the left.
Depth cues- overlapping objects– blurred chair back in front of the feather duster handle which is in focus in front of a blurred bookshelf and curtain behind her.
The background and foreground are out of focus and the girl and what she holds are in focus, drawing our attention.
Focal points– the naughty look on her face and the thing in her hand, her face is angled down towards the thing and her eyes look up to the left of us as if smirking at someone
Medium shot- from her waist up, so we can see what she holds and see her expression.
